    • Key Features of 56-100 and 56-185
      • Made from the finest 300 series stainless steel for superior corrosion resistance
      • Incorporates the "Baby-Sitter Effect" that allows the consumer to operate the dead bolt and extension bolts independently of each other, eliminated the necessity for the consumer to lift the lever handle and engage the shoot bolts before activation the dead bolt.
      • Incorporates an" Anti-Slam" device that prevents the lock bolts from extending until the door is in the closed position, eliminating the potential for door frame damage by the consumer.
      • The shoot and dead bolts extend a full one-inch to meet the highest leaves of structural testing, and meets most local building codes.

      • Mechanism has anti-backdrive provision on the deadbolt and shoot bolts to help prevent tampering.
      • The extension bolt incorporates the necessary lead-in to provide signification pull-in of the door. Facemounted has .316" of pull in

    • Mortise type no astragal
    • Has Deadbolt communication with the active panel lock
      • When shoot bolts are extended and the active deadbolt is fully extended, the passive lock shoot bolts cannot be retracted. This prevents the homeowner from opening the passive panel with active deadbolt extended, which might damage the panel. Prevents active lock deadbolt from extending unless the passive shoot bolts are extended. Tells the homeowner to lock the passive panel first.
    • Has latch communication with the active panel lock
      • If the active deadbolt has not been engaged when passive lock shoot bolts are extended and the active lock latch is fully extended, the passive lock shoot bolts cannot be retracted. This prevents the homeowner from opening the passive panel first, which might damage the panel.

    • After shoot bolt extension, it has a thumb turn mechanism to manually lock the passive shoot bots in the extended position.
    • Requires a passive trimset that has a thumb turn.
    • Has deadbolt communication like above if the astragal is thin enough to allow the deadbolt to engage the blocker. However, this is typically used for thicker  astragal applications with no communication with the active lock.
