Nail fin has hinged Kurf that folds at 90 degrees for ease of installation. Manufacturers like Hurd Used on head and sides of windows but can be used on all 4 sides of the window for reinstallation of windows.
Known to be used on Head & Side of Hurd and Sierra Pacific windows.

this nail fin is a for a sliding patio door it gives you a 1/2 inch offset. as sliding doors like Hurd and Sierra pacific have a wider frame jamb. Nail fin pushes the nosing out so the door frame stays flat on the inside of the wall.
Known to be used on sides and head of Hurd and Sierra Pacific Sliding Patio Doors.
P/N 692 used along bottom sill.
